Kkona Women Sustainable Agriculturists and Environmental Group is a registered Community Based Organization with the main aim of uplifting the livelihoods of women and protecting the environment through agribusiness, environmentalism and gender justice.

Globally Climate change and poverty are the order of the day. Almost every country especially in the global south, has tested this crisis but there’s that group of people who are most affected by these two problems; the women, when climate crisis comes, they’re hit the more, when poverty strikes, they’re hit most.

This and many more injustices prompted the founding of Kkona Women Sustainable Agriculturists and Environmental Group by a Nalubega Dorothy, a Ugandan Climate Feminist campaigner, environmentalist and vulnerable groups rights activist to work together with the women residents of Kkona village and beyond in the fight against climate crisis and poverty.
